Bill Baruch on What the Election Clears Up for Stocks

Bill Baruch says simply getting past the election was going to be bullish for stocks, and he sees a lot of tailwinds now that the uncertainty is gone. The odds of a Democratic sweep were above 50% two or three months ago and near 70% a couple of weeks back. Bill says that fits with semiconductors struggling for the past several months, so it isn’t new news. Crude oil is down to about $88.50 and yields are falling, which he says keeps inflation from becoming a real problem for the Fed if they look out six months. Hyperscalers are rallying and the trade is broadening out. Bill also points to the Iran war as the open question in the weeks ahead. Watch the full discussion here.
